Retrospective edition: 2026-06-10. Source published: 2026-06-10. Added to this archive: 2026-11-03. This briefing was prepared later from the linked announcement; it was not published on this website on the historical edition date.

Amazon EC2 introduced P6-B200 instances in the AWS GovCloud (US-East) region featuring eight NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs and 1440 GB of high bandwidth GPU memory. Delivering up to twice the performance of previous P5en instances, they accelerate large-scale AI workloads in secure government cloud infrastructure.

These instances are backed by 5th Gen Intel Xeon processors and networked with Elastic Fabric Adapter v4 providing up to 3.2 Tbps bandwidth. Built on the AWS Nitro System, they enable scaling AI in large clusters up to tens of thousands of GPUs, supporting demanding machine learning training and inference applications.
