Retrospective edition: 2026-03-03. Source published: 2026-02-27. Added to this archive: 2026-11-03. This briefing was prepared later from the linked announcement; it was not published on this website on the historical edition date.

Oracle Database@AWS enables customers to access Oracle Exadata systems hosted on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure from within AWS data centers. This allows easy migration of Oracle Exadata and RAC workloads onto AWS with like-for-like environments. The recent launch in EU-West-1 (Dublin) enables customers with regional data residency and latency requirements to deploy Exadata workloads there.

In this setup, customers gain integration benefits with AWS Key Management Service for encryption and AWS CloudWatch for monitoring. Oracle Database@AWS is available in eight AWS regions, supporting hybrid cloud Oracle deployments without rearchitecting database layers.
